Do you have the sense that the techno delusion is fairly quickly falling by the wayside? Not a prediction, a wish maybe. That these fellas will lose their bet on what the reality of a human is? That "smart" is a trillion dollar mistake? I have that sense.
I certainly have that hope! And I also know that the more I broach the subject with others, the more I see people who hunger for autonomy and resent the passive place they're often expected to occupy. Especially among the young. For some reason the inevitableniks I know are all older, even tho they should know better, and the young people I know are far more eager to shake off the tendrils of inevitability, even tho their relative youth and inexperience makes this harder.
